Inter have made another approach for Curtis Jones and are willing to raise their offer for the Liverpool midfielder to €35m (£30m). Intermediaries representing Inter have made fresh contact with Liverpool this week and outlined their willingness to go to €35m for a player who has only one year remaining on his contract at Anfield.
Given that Liverpool value him at around €40m, it looks increasingly likely that a compromise will be reached. Inside the final year of his contract and with no progress made on an extension, parting ways makes sense for all parties.
Piero Ausilio, Inter's sporting director, confirmed he was still on their radar earlier this summer, saying: 'Curtis Jones - we are paying attention to him. We didn't hide. We understand what the developments will be.'
