Chelsea began their Alonso era with an emphatic 6-4 win over Western Sydney Wanderers FC just a few days ago.

Chelsea and Tottenham are competing for an early pre-season prize as they face off in the Sydney Super Cup on Saturday. The two London rivals will be meeting each other in a derby that for the first time in its history will be played outside the UK as Xabi Alonso and Roberto De Zerbi's men will do battle in a friendly manner at the Accor Stadium in Australia. Kick-off is scheduled for 10:45am BST (7:45pm local time).

However, said ban has now been lifted, with the FA confirming such in a statement on Friday. "After a long battle, the four-year ban that was imposed on me has been rescinded and I am free to resume my career with immediate effect," Mudryk said in a statement. "As I have always maintained from the outset of this case, I have never knowingly or intentionally taken any banned substance.

Xabi Alonso made a dramatic start to his summer campaign as Chelsea beat A-League strugglers Western Sydney Wanderers 6-4 in a hectic affair which was ultimately settled by a late Joao Pedro hat trick.

High-profile arrival Morgan Rogers remains on leave following his World Cup campaign with England, while Marc Cucurella has departed for Real Madrid. Additionally, several first-team regulars remain on post-tournament breaks, including Reece James, Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Pedro Neto, Malo Gusto, and Nicolas Jackson.

Roberto De Zerbi remains in charge after taking over late last season and securing top-flight safety on the final day. And De Zerbi will also be without Guglielmo Vicario, Dejan Kulusevski, Mohamed Kudus, Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons due to injury.

Tottenham fans can stream the fixture via SpursPlay, while Chelsea supporters can tune in through CFC+. According to FourFourTwo, CBS Sports Golazo Network will also have the game for free in the US. Paramount+ will be showing Chelsea vs Tottenham in Australia.
