Manchester United are investigating whether a deal for Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly is possible, as they also press on with attempting to sign Lewis Hall from Newcastle United - The Independent on Sunday.
Lewis-Skelly broke into the Arsenal team during the 2024-25 season, impressing as Mikel Arteta’s side finished second in the Premier League and went deep in the Champions League. The versatile teenager was one of six nominees for the PFA Young Player of the Year and was handed a new long-term contract by Arsenal.
But the 19-year-old did show his worth towards the end of the season to help Arsenal clinch their first Premier League title since 2004 and reach the Champions League final. Lewis-Skelly became the second-youngest English player to start a Champions League final against PSG but ended up on the losing side as Arsenal suffered a heartbreaking penalty shootout defeat. While Lewis-Skelly impressed in the business end of the 2025-26 season, he was still left out of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for this summer’s World Cup.
Arsenal have made progress in negotiations that could yet secure the sensational transfer of Vinicius Junior, with the outline of a personal deal agreed - The Independent on Sunday. However, it is claimed the situation could change should Arteta complete deals for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes and Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior.
The English star has been used at both left back and in central midfield, but he's yet to make one of the positions his own.
