Alan Brazil will return to the airwaves on the talkSPORT breakfast show this week following nearly four months off, spent recovering from a life-saving liver transplant.

Brazil, 67, shared in June that he had undergone life-saving surgery and disclosed that he was on the operating table for eight hours, admitting his heart had stopped before restarting itself. Brazil underwent a liver transplant, revealing in June that he was on the operating table for eight hours and that his heart stopped during the procedure. He has spent the past few months recuperating and now feels ready to return to his breakfast radio show this week.

However, he will now make his long-awaited return to talkSPORT Breakfast on Wednesday, with the show live on air from 6am to 10am. The talkSPORT stalwart has been off-air for almost four months but will now return to present his regular Breakfast Show slot alongside former Premier League striker Gabby Agbonlahor.

In March, he was forced to miss his presenting duties for talkSPORT during the final two days at Cheltenham Festival.
