Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Greek winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge for £34million on a five-year contract, with the 24-year-old joining as a replacement for Leandro Trossard.

The Gunners secured a 3-0 win on their way to winning the league phase, which would precede a campaign taking them all the way to the final.

Arsenal have completed the signing of Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge; the Greek winger joins for a £34m fee, which is a Belgian Pro League record; Tzolis has been signed as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, who departed for Besiktas in a £17m deal.

The 24-year-old has arrived from Club Brugge for a £34million fee, signing a five-year contract to his commit his future through until 2031. He becomes Arsenal's third summer signing. Tzolis flew into London for a medical on Tuesday and put the final touches on his switch to north London. He fills the gap in the squad left by Leandro Trossard, who completed his move to Besiktas earlier this month.

Tzolis scored 22 goals and provided 29 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions last season in Belgium, attracting interest from across Europe. We look forward to sharing this exciting new chapter together.”

“It's absolutely amazing to sign for such a big club, the champions of England. I'm very proud to be part of this team for the next season," the winger said. “When my agent was saying maybe it was a possibility, I was already excited. Afterwards it was getting more serious and now I'm here. “I had a nice conversation [with Mikel Arteta]. It was around an hour. We talked about everything, about the club, about myself, about his plans, about me of course, about the team. It was only positive things.”
