Arsenal and Manchester City have signalled a willingness to pay a ‘nine-figure’ fee for RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande this summer. BILD report that the Premier League’s top two remain in the picture for the 19-year-old star, who will command a €100m plus fee.
Diomande, who scored 13 goals and added 10 assists in 36 matches for the German side last season, still has just under four years left on his contract, but it seems very unlikely he will run that deal down.
Liverpool have already had an £85 million bid rejected for Yan Diomande, who was described as 'one of the best wingers in the world' by Jurgen Klopp. The Ivorian was already the subject of a €100m offer from Liverpool during the World Cup. This was rejected by Leipzig.
However, the Ivory Coast international, who impressed for his country at this summer’s World Cup, is committed to joining Luis Enrique’s all-conquering side. PSG are Diomande’s preferred destination. They are yet to make an official offer for the winger.
The outlet adds that Leipzig want at least €120m (£102m) for Diomande, which may put PSG’s noses out of joint.
With more than a month to go of the summer transfer window, there could be some extra twists and turns along the way.
